Remembering you

Remembrance of you fills me like musk rising darkly up through the soles of my feet after the first rains. It fills me completely as nothing else will these days, till I am that earth, the fields of the farmers, the shores of the pounding seas and the life giving rivers. .. love that pours in a flood - Oh Mother, I am you.

In all of earth, there is something so sacred about you here, so intimately personal and
binding. That one can travel the world, marvel at all its treasures, unchanged even a bit
within, and come here to this dry red piece of you and lose one's heart, find one's spirit. All over again.

All who I know I bring to you, tenderly wrapped in my heart, to lay in your lap, their names
scribbled into the dust of your being, that their troubles may unwind, even as your blessings
flow unto them.

Shadow,

Thank you :)

Our essence is in water, earth, sun. This summer we have too little heat/sun, and our vegetables are not growing.

Ruth,
true. The vegetables I planted this year are not producing much.

Sparkling writing! I wasn't sure at first if you were speaking of "mother earth" or your actual mom. I read the comment thread to figure out which.
I hope your garden flourishes soon as lush as this writing of yours.

This oneness with Mother, losing one's heart to find one's spirit - they are such wonderful blessings in themselves. Just to become a speck of dust at Mother's feet - is that what Nirvana is?
